The Space
Blue River Escape is the ultimate getaway destination for celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a well-deserved vacation, or remote work/long term rental. This professionally decorated home has 3 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 10 people. It offers multiple spaces specially designed for gathering together and enjoying the stunning setting of the mountains & aspen filled forests. Enjoy two large living room areas with comfortable seating as well as an enormous custom stone fireplace set next to a wall of floor to ceiling windows. You will bask in unobstructed views & sunshine!
The warm and comfortable lower living area has a custom pool table and home theater, with plenty of space to play games, enjoy entertainment on the 86-inch high definition TV & surround sound system, or to just relax after an exhilarating day of recreation. All of the lower floor bedrooms and the home theater area have black out curtains to allow for restful sleep and to prevent glare on the theater screen.
Blue River Escape is filled with luxury, curated details. Guests are shepherded to high quality sleep by 800 thread count sheets, premium bedding, & new Purple mattresses. Designer fixtures and furnishings abound, and unique artwork is found in each room, including a wall art installation of aspens and wildlife by local & internationally renowned artist Bonnie Wakeman. Turkish robes and towels are placed in each of the bedrooms to help guests unwind. Guests can easily spend hours perusing a library of travel & art coffee table books.
The kitchen will please any chef or gourmet guest. It is stocked for entertaining: Riedel wine glasses, handmade Portuguese ceramic plate setting, brass flatware, serving trays, and quality cooking tools such as a Vitamix blender, cookware, Kitchen aid mixer, and many others items. The tiger's eye granite island is stunning and looks beautiful against the brass accents. Finally, a 108-inch custom living edge walnut dining table provides the perfect place for friends and family to gather together for meals. With counter seating for 4 and seating for 10 at the inside dining table, a dinner party of 14 may be easily accommodated (20 including outdoor dining table).
In the spring, summer & fall, two outdoor balconies are appointed for relaxation. They are perfect for drinking your morning cup of coffee or al fresco dining. You will feel all tension slip away as you admire the view and watch the feeders attract a parade of mountain hummingbirds. A new Weber grill is also available for use. After the breathtaking sunset & alpenglow, the beauty of the night sky emerges. As SSR is a dark sky community, guests can pick out constellations and the Milky Way easily. A quality telescope is available for star gazing.
A washer and dryer are conveniently located in the mud room, and a heated garage provides parking for two vehicles.
After Thanksgiving through the second week of January, the home is tastefully decorated for the holidays with wreaths, fireplace garland, and a 14 ft tree adorned with charming glass ornaments of woodland creatures. Guests will enjoy a cozy home warm with holiday spirit, without having hang a single decoration!
